De Los Santos Medical Center (DLSMC) was awarded with the Facilities Improvement Initiative of the Year – Philippines at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2024. Committed to providing exceptional and compassionate healthcare while maintaining affordability, DLSMC’s focus on a satisfactory patient hospital journey stood out and gained honor. DLSMC’s investment in its facilities roots on the institution’s recognition of the facilities’ vital role in the patients’ experience in the hospital. Ensuring comfort and well-being of the patients, upgrades and new constructions of the Emergency Room, Outpatient Infusion Unit, Flood Control Project, Animal Bite Center, Sleep Lab, TB-DOTS, Wound and Stoma Care Center, and Centralized Material Management Unit were prioritized. These facilities are addition to the existing specialty centers and clinics. Included in these are the Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery Center, Eye Center, Orthopaedic Sports Clinic, Wellness Center, Arthritis and Joint Replacement Center, Dermatology Center, and Women’s Care Center. There are also the Menopause Clinic, Breast Clinic, Neuroscience Center, Headache Clinic, and the newly-opened Wound and Stoma Care Center. With providing top-notch patient care as the center of DLSMC’s service standards, the institution continues to make its way to the top.

DLSMC also takes high priority on bringing affordable healthcare to people. Thus, it established its referral marketing team to widen the scope of its reach. Through referral marketing, partnerships between the hospital and other hospitals, clinics, condos, hotels, schools, seminaries, and other establishments are forged. This enabled faster communication and launching of events for the benefit of both parties. Corporate and Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO) partnerships are also strengthened. Corporate partnerships enable seamless ways of interacting and doing business through events and other exclusivities the partnership offers. HMOs, on the other hand, cover the medical expenses from the services provided by the accredited physicians in conformity to the guidelines set by the HMO and the hospital. These partnerships help patients enjoy medical services with less worries on the bills. DLSMC continuously charges forward to building more partnerships to help more people get the quality and compassionate, yet affordable, service it offers.

DLSMC also intensifies physician marketing through TV guesting and doctor-centered events. These help the doctors establish a stellar online reputation, attract and retain more patients, and build trust among the public. Physician marketing doesn’t only highlight the doctors but also the products and facilities of the hospital.

Ablis, and Senior Manager of Ancillary Services, Ms. Annabell V. Dellova went to Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Singapore last March 25-27.
